Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated:

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what the Sracom website and CRM may not be used for. It protects our customers, their customers and our infrastructure, and forms part of our Terms & Conditions. It applies to you and to every user in your workspace.

1. Lawful use

You may use Sracom only for lawful business purposes and in compliance with the laws that apply to you — including consumer-protection, e-commerce, telemarketing, tax and data-protection law in the countries where you and your customers are located.

2. Prohibited activity

  • Selling or promoting goods and services that are illegal where you or your customers are located — including narcotics, weapons, counterfeit or stolen goods, prescription medicines sold without authorisation, and unlicensed financial or gambling services.
  • Fraud of any kind, including fictitious orders, fake deliveries, laundering payments through a workspace, or misrepresenting who you are.
  • Sending unsolicited bulk calls or messages, or contacting people who have asked not to be contacted or who are on a do-not-call register.
  • Uploading or processing personal data you have no lawful basis to hold — including purchased or scraped contact lists.
  • Harassing, threatening, deceiving or abusing anyone, including through the calling and messaging features.
  • Uploading malware, or using the Service to attack, probe or gain unauthorised access to any system.
  • Copying, decompiling, reverse-engineering, reselling, sublicensing or white-labelling the Service without our written permission.
  • Sharing a single account between multiple people to avoid paying for seats, or exceeding the volume in your plan without agreeing an upgrade.
  • Automated load, scraping or testing that degrades the Service for others, or circumventing rate limits, authentication or audit logging.
  • Publishing or transmitting content that is defamatory, obscene, or that infringes someone else’s intellectual property.

3. Calling and messaging your customers

Sracom is a call-centre tool. You are responsible for the calls and messages your team makes with it: for having a lawful basis to contact each person, for identifying yourself honestly, for respecting opt-outs and calling-hour restrictions, and for retaining consent records where the law requires them. We may act on credible complaints from the people your workspace contacts.

4. Security expectations

  • Keep credentials confidential and give each user their own account.
  • Assign the narrowest role that lets someone do their job, and remove access when people leave.
  • Report any suspected vulnerability or compromise to contact@sracomconnect.com rather than exploiting or publicising it. We will not pursue good-faith security research reported responsibly.

5. Enforcement

  • Where we can, we contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
  • For serious issues — illegal activity, fraud, a security threat, or harm to other customers — we may suspend the workspace or specific users immediately and without notice.
  • Repeated or unresolved breaches lead to termination under the Terms & Conditions, without refund.
  • We cooperate with lawful requests from authorities and may report unlawful activity.

6. Reporting abuse

To report misuse of Sracom by any workspace — including unwanted calls or messages you have received — email contact@sracomconnect.com with as much detail as you can. We investigate every credible report.
